Man accused of assault and breach of peace granted bail

RAY JERRICK, a 25-year-old man, was, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, brought before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on two criminal charges.
The first charge alleged that, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Shoe Source, Regent Street, Georgetown, Jerrick unlawfully assaulted Melissa Joseph.

The second charge alleged that, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Shoe Source, Regent Street, Georgetown, Jerrick provoked Melissa Joseph in the attempt to annoy her, thereby causing a breach of peace.

When Jerrick was read both charges, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor had no objections to the defendant being granted bail but requested that the court should place Jerrick on a bond of peace.
Magistrate McGusty granted Jerrick $20,000 bail and ordered that he be on a bond of peace.
The matter was transferred to Court 8 and 9.
