An 18-year-old of East la Penitence, Georgetown died this evening following an accident at Industrial Estate,Ruimveldt in the vicinity of National Hardware.

Dead is Deshon Morris.

Reports are that sometime after 2000hrs, Morris was riding his motorcycle bearing registration CJ6021 with pillion rider, Keon Granville, age 27, in tow when the duo collided with a low bed trailer.

The teen died on the spot while the pillion rider was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for treatment. Granville was later discharged from the hospital. The driver of the truck was subsequently detained.

Police are investigating the accident.
