–urges residents to exercise their democratic right on March 2
SCORES of residents of Crabwood Creek, Corentyne were urged to come out in their numbers on March 2, 2020 and exercise their democratic right, thereby making sure that a committed government takes the helm of Guyana.
The call came from Minister of Social Protection Amna Ally during a meeting with them on Friday evening.

“This government is about meeting the needs of our people, and we are doing everything possible to arrive there,” Minister Ally said as she reminded the mammoth gathering of all that the APNU+AFC administration has done to make life better for the people in the past four years.
“We have commissioned the first well at Moleson Creek,” she said, adding: “This project gave way to hundreds of residents getting access to water. Several streets were resurfaced; many farmers were able to go back to their farmlands because a number of tools were donated. They were assisted with an access road for cultivation from Stelling Road to Jackson Street. The rehabilitation of the Crabwood Creek koker assisted farmers with proper drainage.”
Youths attending the meeting were also encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities and training programmes the government has been making available, which will allow them to enjoy the various careers and benefits that the upcoming oil and gas industry has to offer.
Upon the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Ally made a sizeable donation to Dewan Dwarka, leader of a newly-established community group that aims to push for more development in the area.
