POLICE are investigating the murder of 35-year-old Andrew [only name given] called “Sponge Bobb” of Timehri Dock Area, East Bank Demerara.

Reports indicate that Andrew is a known vagrant and his body was found lying motionless on Monday morning at the corners of Regent and Light Streets, Bourda.

The body was clad in black short pants and bore an incised wound to the left side neck.
Investigation disclosed that the deceased was last seen alive by persons in the area on Friday at Bourda Market. When contacted, police confirmed the death and said investigations are in progress.
