LOCAL talent company, Kast Talent Management is hosting for the second year, a cancer awareness concert which is slated for Sunday in the conference room at The Duke on Duke Street, Kingston.
The concert, titled ‘Care Her’, is being hosted in collaboration with the Heart to Heart Foundation, and is being used to bring about awareness of cancer and how persons can fight the disease.
Company founding director Khamisi Slowe told ‘The Buzz’ that Kast was created to help create opportunities and showcase the talent of young creative minds in Guyana. He said that activities such as the concert are held throughout the year to give young people a chance to express themselves and use their skills and talents for the greater good.
Sunday’s event is one such activity that will see members of the company using their individual skills to raise awareness of cancer through the Arts. A combination of poets, models, artistes, and musicians will all be performing at The Duke on Sunday.
The show will also incorporate motivational speeches from cancer survivors. At a low entry cost of $1,000, the event will commence at 19:30hrs sharp.
