… set to compete in WNBF World Championships next month

NATURAL bodybuilder Rawle Greene is satisfied with his fourth place finish at the 2019 INBF Natural Mania and WNBF Pro Universe competition, which was held last weekend in New York.

The US-based Guyanese, who was known in his younger years as one of the fastest men in Guyana, said, “It was a good field of bodybuilders from around the world.”

Greene, who is a pro in the World Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, added that “making top five out of seven and placing fourth in the PRO men’s was ok.”

Saturday night was the 42-year-old’s fourth time at the prestigious event.

The former sprinter, who switched sports in 2007 after picking up an injury trying to qualify for the 2008 Olympics, said that athletics has helped his bodybuilding career.

“The leg muscles I developed as a sprinter doing me well in bodybuilding.”

Four years into bodybuilding, the naturally gifted athlete won his International Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (INBF) Pro Card in 2011 after he won the INBF Mr America title.

Since then he has competed in four Universe and two World events along with the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) championships and a string of competitions in the U.S.

Greene, who is a personal trainer, said that working with clients all day and then having to train can be “tiresome”; nevertheless he is still gearing up to do the World Championships in New York next month.
