A Linden taxi driver died on Friday evening, in the interior, after he reportedly jumped from a truck which crushed him.
Dead is 23-year-old Brentnol Allicock of One Mile, Wismar. According to a relative, Allicock normally works the Linden to Georgetown route with his car, but ventured into the interior in search of short term employment. “He went in the bush but not for long and we just get a call saying he jumped off of some truck and it crushed him,” the relative said. He was described as a hardworking, kind-hearted and quiet individual. His death came as a shock to many of his peers in Linden, since he was full of life. Mere hours after Allicock met his demise, his cousin Eon Williams called OJ, was fatally shot in Amelia’s Ward.
