GIBRON Sarfaraz and Walter Grant-Stuart will represent Guyana at the 2019 Parapan American Games in Lima, Peru under the umbrella of the National Paralympics Committee of Guyana.
Guyana’s quota is four, consisting of two para athletes and two officials.
Apart from the two athletes, chef de mission Wilton Spencer and Linden Johnson (table tennis coach) are expected to make the voyage.
Sarfaraz will compete in para table tennis athlete and Grant-Stuart in para-cycling.
Spencer, Johnson and Sarfaraz will depart today while Grant-Stuart will follow later.
The International Paralympic Committee, Guyana Olympic Association and National Sport Commission are the entities responsible for the venture.
