–set to deliver motivational speech at the Marriott

GUYANESE-born award-winning motivational Speaker SherryAnn Dixon will be giving a motivational presentation at the Guyana Marriott in Georgetown today.

SherryAnn, who lives in London, is an award-winning journalist, transformational lecturer, and keynote speaker who is passionate about empowering people towards becoming confident.

She represents women in her community, and without skipping a beat, she has moved from magazine editor to being an internationally sought after public speaker. She has, on a number of occasions, delivered addresses at the House of Lords, House of Parliament in London and The United Nations in New York.

SherryAnn has edited three magazines, namely, Essence Magazine, Pride Magazine and SHE Caribbean, and has written for many publications, including The Guardian, Sunday Observer, The Times, The Guyana Chronicle and Stabroek News, Upscale Magazine and The Voice.

She has done numerous television and radio shows, including Lorraine Kelly (LK Today) and BBC Worldwide, helping to dispel the myths surrounding health and beauty for women of colour.

With her wide span of knowledge of empowerment issues, SherryAnn has now become a much sought-after inspirational and transformational speaker and mentor, sharing her life skills and vast knowledge to empower individuals in the UK and worldwide. But most importantly, it’s her thirst for mentoring that drives her.

In December 2014, she was commended by The Mayor of London in acknowledgment of her inspiring work with women in her community by presenting her with a Certificate of Appreciation at the London Peace Awards. In 2017, she was invited to speak at The United Nations on the subject of why every child and, particularly women, should be mentored.

Her first motivational-speaking event here in Guyana will see her sharing her life’s experiences and tips on improving self-confidence.
