MAGISTRATE Faith McGusty on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, remanded a 46-year-old butcher, for assault and threating behaviour.

Rudy Fredericks appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and denied that, on July 13, 2019, at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, he assaulted and threated Simmie Singh.

Police prosecutor, Annalisa Brummel, objected to bail and told the court that, on the day in question, the defendant threatened the virtual complainant (VC), to cut her up with a knife, knowing that both of them were residing at the same address.

Brummel explained that the VC was scared for her life, knowing that he were a butcher. She lodged a report at the police station and Fredericks was later arrested and charged.
Magistrate Faith McGusty ruled in the prosecution’s favour and remanded Fredericks to prison until July 31, 2019.
