THREE persons, including a female, have been arrested after police found 29 bulky transparent parcels of cannabis weighing 28,148 grams and strapped in two wheels on top of the roof of a minibus during a search on Saturday.

According to reports, ranks at the Mabura Police Outpost, acting on information received, carried out a search on a minibus (Route #72) which was destined for Mahdia and driven by a 42-year-old resident of Wismar, Linden. There were two female passengers.

Upon searching the vehicle, it was observed that there were two wheels strapped on top of the roof of the said bus. A search of the wheels revealed 29 bulky transparent parcels of cannabis weighing 28,148 grams.

Three persons, including one of the females, are in custody assisting police with their investigation.
