THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) and the City Constabulary are in discussions to implement a strategy to address crimes occurring in the Stabroek Market area, Georgetown.
Following a visit to the Stabroek area recently, Commissioner of Police, Leslie James, and a team of Senior Officers, on Monday, met with Chief Constable Andrew Foo, at Eve-Leary, to iron out the strategy.
The strategy is expected to be implemented soon.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement officers were in a walkabout last week which commenced from the Public Buildings and encompassed the numbers 40, 45, 44 and 42 Bus Parks. A courtesy call was also made on the Chief Fire Officer Marlon Gentle where they discussed strategies on how to combat the various issues faced by the sister Service.
