Family loses cash, motorbike and laptop in robbery 

A family from Huist Dieren, Essequibo Coast was robbed of cash, a motorbike and a laptop when thieves invaded their home around 03:00 hrs on Thursday.

According to Ravindra Sahadeo, when he woke around 05:00 hrs, he discovered that the door of the lower-flat of his home was open.

He then called on his wife and asked her if she had left the door opened. In response, she said no and immediately got up and launched an investigation.

It was then the family discovered that their motorbike, CJ 2561, along with a new laptop and G$145,000 was missing.

Everyone was asleep at the time of the robbery.

“We are shocked having learned the laptop we recently purchased, our motorbike also, I can’t believe this,” Sahadeo said.

The family said they then made a report to the Aurora Police Station. Detectives visited the home and fingerprints were taken. Police are investigating the incident.
