Dredge owner drowns at Mahdia

The body of a 63-year-old man, who reportedly fell into a waterway at a mining camp at Mahdia in the Potaro-Siparuni ,was fished out of the water on Wednesday morning.

Dead is Matthew Joseph. Relatives believe the man went to check on his dredge operation at “Water Dog” area, sometime late on Tuesday night, when he slipped into the water.

His remains were taken to the hospital mortuary.
