President David Granger, on Friday received a courtesy call from Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Chairman of CARICOM, Dr Timothy Harris, at State House.
The President was accompanied by Minister of State, Mr. Joseph Harmon, who is also performing the functions of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Guyana’s Ambassador to CARICOM, Ms. Charlene Phoenix.

Prime Minister Harris was accompanied by Secretary General of CARICOM, Mr. Irwin LaRocque, and Mrs. Charmaine Atkinson- Jordan, Chef de Cabinet, Office of the Secretary General.

Prime Minister Harris, who assumed the CARICOM Chairmanship on 1 January had accepted an invitation extended by Ambassador LaRocque when they met in Basseterre in early December last year. The Chairman will hold discussions with the Secretary-General and Members of the Secretariat’s Executive Management Committee, and will address the Secretariat’s Staff. Prime Minister Harris will welcome his fellow Heads of Government to Basseterre on February 26-27 for the 30th Inter-Sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government.
