THE Ministry of Public Infrastructure said staffers, while visiting the Schoonard Road which leads to La Parfaite Harmonie on the West Bank of Demerara on Monday, noted that seven of the 10 bump traffic signs and metal posts that were installed by Design Perspectives a few weeks ago were missing.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said its workers discovered that the traffic signs on the Fourth Road Project were bent and party flyers were pasted on some.
The ministry is calling on vandalisers to refrain from such activities since they ultimately inconvenience the citizenry by destroying much-needed infrastructure.
Citizens interested in reporting any instances of vandalism are urged to contact the ministry’s Public Relations Department on telephone number 227-0799 or the nearest police station.
