Passenger hospitalised in Pomeroon boat collision

IVOR France, 56, of Hackney Canal, Lower Pomeroon River, Region Two, was on Sunday afternoon rescued by Pomeroon residents after he was severely injured in a boat collision.

France, who was a passenger at the time, is currently a patient at the Charity Hospital nursing injuries to the head. The accident occurred around 18:00 hrs in the vicinity of Grant Mounta Estate, Lower Pomeroon River.

The captains of the boats involved in the accident are in custody assisting police with their investigations.
