-man kills wife , daughter in early morning rampage 

The  Glasgow Housing Scheme on the  East Bank of Berbice was rocked by chilling murder /suicide after a man killed his wife and daughter and later hanged himself.

Reports are that around 0800hrs Wednesday, the man who has been identified as “Rado”, attacked his wife and daughter with a cutlass and a hammer . He reportedly slit his wife’s throat as she slept in a  hammock. Reports are that the man also stabbed his 21-year-old  daughter several times . She later succumbed to her injuries.

Neighbours heard loud screams from the family’s home and they later saw the man with the cutlass in his hand as he attacked his daughter with a hammer.

Reports are that the man , who worked as watchman at a sawmill, later ran into a nearby cane field. He later  hanged himself under an abandoned house some 10 mins away from the scene.

Police are investigating the incident.
