Convicted murderers in court for impersonating the First Lady

TWO convicted murderers appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on Friday charged with impersonating First Lady, Sandra Granger.
The two convicts Paul Lo-Hing, 35, and Wasim Mohamed, 30, allegedly committed the act on two women who they tried to deceive.

Lo-Hing is currently in jail serving a sentence of 83 years for murdering his girlfriend, Shoala Gilgeous in 2012, while Mohamed is serving 10 years for killing his friend, Russell Nelson in 2005.
Both men pleaded not guilty.

According to the facts as presented in the court, between April 1, 2017 and April 30, 2017, Lo-Hing, while pretending to be the First Lady, fraudulently obtained $30,000 in phone cards from Basmattie Singh, by telling her that he was in a position to grant a scholarship.

Lo-Hing and Mohamed were also jointly charged for obtaining $30,000 from Beverley Harris while pretending to be the First Lady, stating that he was in a position to grant a scholarship.
Both men were remanded and will make another court appearance on May 4, 2018.
