WITH all of the hype heading into this weekend’s King of the Strip 2, the Team Mohamed’s Enterprise unit is unfazed about defending its classes.
The team’s principal Azrudin Mohamed, was clear in saying that they are looking to take each race as it comes and each competitor on their own merit.
“Yes, the GTR Goliath is fast but come for the King of the Strip 2, we are going to take every race on its merit and focus on re-securing our crown. We are not going to underestimate anyone,” he said.
“We did some testing today (Friday) and we are satisfied at the moment, so we are awaiting come Sunday (tomorrow) to see [which] are the faster cars.
“We want to encourage fans to come out to the event on Sunday at the South Dakota Circuit and see good drag racing,” he added.
Meanwhile, both the Trinidadian and Surinamese competitors arrived here yesterday (Thursday) and attended the briefing session for competitors at the club’s Thomaslands office last evening.
They were made aware of the rules and protocols governing drag racing here, as well as the procedures for Sunday’s event.
The King of the Strip 2 is sponsored by the Trans Pacific Motor Spares, BM Soat, Prem’s Electrical, Mohamed’s Enterprise, JAPARTS, E-Networks, STAG and Tropical Shipping.
Admission is $500 for children and $1 000 for adults.
