Two hospitalized following Pomeroon River accident

Two persons are presently hospitalized at the Oscar Joseph Hospital at Charity following a boat collision at Wakapoa ,Lower Pomeroon in Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam) on Tuesday evening.

According to reports , two boats collided in the river around 19:30 hours. Those hospitalised are 17- year old Vanessa  John and 14- year old Michelle Smith.

Reports are that  Hurbert James, 49 years a pastor of Wakapoa was heading east along the river with the two teenagers when he collided with a boat which was headed in the opposite direction and which was operated by one Wayne Boyan .

 The teenagers were transported to Charity and immediately rushed for medical attention.Police are continuing their investigations as the two boat captains remain in custody.
