THE Linden Amateur Basketball Association’s (LABA) Malta Supreme ‘March Madness’ semi-finals are on tonight at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court where two great matchups are anticipated.
In the first semi-final, unbeaten Half Mile Bulls face Retrieve Raiders. The second is between Victory Valley Royals, the team who have not lost so far, and Amelia’s Ward Jets.
The second-ranked Bulls will take on Raiders from 18:30hrs.They will be led by sharp-shooting Terron Welch along with Travin Dryden, Kevin Easton, Jamar Bethune and Immanuel La Rose.
Their opponents, Raiders, the number four seed, should field a side that should include Dauwin Lovell, Coel Winter, Devon Montrose, Sheldron Noel and Shamar Chapman.
The other match brings together the number one-ranked club Royals with Harold Adams, their most reliable scorer at the helm, the experienced Marlon Pollydore, emerging Yannick Tappin, Daniel lee, Linnel Warden, Kobe Tappin and Dwight Cooper.Their opponents are the Jets who came into this tournament ranked at three and they will field a squad of players featuring the likes of Donnel Benjamin, Akini Wilson, Joel Webster, Jamal Gilkes, Orin Rose and Orin Rose.
The final is set for Saturday at the same venue.
