PRESIDENT David Granger has extended sincere congratulations to Dr Keith Mitchell, the incumbent Prime Minister of Grenada, who emerged victorious at the nation’s polls held on March 13, 2018, winning eight of the seats declared so far.

In a statement, President Granger said according to the preliminary results, Dr Mitchell will be leading his New National Party (NNP) in another five-year term, as the party has won all 15 seats in the island. “His Excellency, President David Granger, takes this opportunity to recommit Guyana to the maintenance of strong bilateral ties for the benefit of the two peoples.”

Additionally, President Granger said Guyana remains committed to working with Grenada and its other sister Caribbean Community (CARICOM) states, in the interest of the continued development of the Caribbean.
