FORTY-SIX goals were scored as the Corona Futsal football tournament continued on night four at the National Gymnasium, Tuesday evening.

In the night’s opening game, Tucville were the first team into the winners’ circle after beating Kingston 3-2. A Jamal Greaves double (5th and 7th) coupled with Trevon Lythcott’s 9th minute strike accounted for the win, while Kingston had Simon Emanuel (6th) and Nigel Denny (15yj) on the scoreboard.

Alpha Warriors and Showstoppers were deadlocked at 3-3 when the final whistle went in game two. Showstoppers’ comeback from 3-0 was facilitated by Tyrone Bobb (11th), Dexroy Adams (13th) and Jermaine Samuel (18th). Earlier, Opara Benjamin’s brace (4th and 8th) had given the Warriors an early lead before Delroy Fraser added the other goal.
Sophia were also winners on the night, getting past YMCA by a 4-3 margin. Shavane Seaforth’s double (8th and 14th) along with Frank Crandon’s 7th minute strike helped YMCA make three, but they were two goals two short for the win. Desmond Cotton’s hat-trick, the first of the night (2nd, 5th and 20th) spurred Sophia with the win while Dwayne Love’s lone goal gave them the edge.

Bent Street obliterated Channel 9 Warriors 13-1 in game four. Ryan Hackett (2nd, 9th and 12th) was the chief destroyer with a hat-trick for Job Caesar (8th, 12th and 15th) and a brace for Kelsey Benjamin (10th, 16th) also adding up.

There were single strikes from Pernell Shultz (9th), Solomon Austin (4th), Andrew Murray (11th) and Sheldon Profitt (14th). Channel 9 had Javier Cort (13th) on target.
West Front Road also joined the winners’ circle thanks to a 3-1 win over Albouystown. Hubert Pedro (12th and 13th) and Jamal Pedro (16th) were responsible for the win while Moses Gittens (14th) was on target for Albouystown.

Back Circle and Leopold Street played to a five-goal draw in the last game of the evening. Stephan McLean (5th, 6th and 16th) scored a hat-trick to help the cause of Back Circle while Adrian Aaron (12th) and Josiah Charles (6th) were the other marksmen. For Leopold, Darren Benjamin had a brace in the 1st and 7th while Eon Alleyne (17th), Otawie Fraser (18th) and Tyrese Forde (14th) were on target.

Matches continue this evening with six more fixtures. Tiger Bay will open the evening against Mocha with Ol Skool Ballers and Xtreme Campbellville playing in game two. Future Stars and New Market Street are the next two teams to clash while Back Circle and Alexander Village will follow them.
Sparta Boss versus Plaisance is the next game with Alpha Warriors and Tucville set to close off the evening.
