A 29- year old man appeared before a magistrate on Monday charged for simple larceny.
Carl Crandon, who resides at ‘C’ Field, Sophia, on March 1, at Lombard Street, Georgetown, allegedly stole one gold chain worth $82, 000, property of Marlin Hinds
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and the prosecutor objected to bail. According to the facts produced in court, the defendant was walking along with others when Crandon snatched the chain and escaped on a bicycle.
Crandon was refused bail and remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman. The matter was adjourned until March 19.
