CG motorcycle bandits robbed a U.S.-based Guyanese $7.4M shortly after he had cashed a cheque at a city bank on Thursday.
Deodat Ramdeo and his employee, Deomattie Seeram, visited a city bank around 11:45hrs to cash the cheques and were reportedly trailed and attacked at Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara, when the suspects rode up on a black hONDA CG motorcycle.
The suspects ordered Ramdeo to lie on the ground and he complied, while his accomplice went to Seeram, pointed the firearm at her and took away the bag containing cash and other documents.
The suspects then made good their escape. Contacted on the matter, the police said that no arrests have been made as yet, but they were investigating the alleged robbery under arms.
