ON a cold Wednesday afternoon in Georgetown, the Buxton Youth Developers were on fire as the Milo Schools Football competition continued.

The East Coast side trumped their Charlestown Secondary opponents 5-0 in a one-sided battle that featured it all – classy finishes, pacey turnovers and clinical strikes.
It started with Shamar Kingston who scored the opening goal in the 7th minute followed by Shamesh London in the 15th as the half ended 2-0.

On the return, Kingston netted once more to complete his double with London following suit before Teshawn Gordon’s 58th minute strike completed the win.
Game two saw St Rose’s downed by Uitvlugt Secondary 2-1. The West Demerara-based side had Anthony Benn 42nd and Mickel McKend 70th on target while only Victor Chin registered a goal for the Georgetown side.
Lodge Secondary were also victors on the day with a 3-1 win against Queenstown Secondary.

A strike each for Shemroy Meyers (26th), Ricky Stewart (45th) and Adrian Berkshire (70th) was enough to ensure the side got their three points.
Carl Chisholm’s 66th minute goal was a consolation on the part of the losers.
Matches continue tomorrow and Sunday at the same venue.
