East Bank/Westside Guinness Tournament set for January 26

THE East Bank/West Side Guinness Greatest of the Streets football tournament will commence on January 26 at the Pouderoyen tarmac.

According to information, the 32 teams that will be battling for the $400 000 first prize have already been grouped ahead of the first day match-up.

In Group A, Young Ballers, Westside Ballers, Boom Bang and Jetty Ballers will do battle while Group B will feature Mocha, Ballers Empire, Agricola and Kuru Kuru (Asylum Youths).
The Group C has Terror Squad, Nismes Ballers, Torture Squad and Up-Like-Seven while the Group D will feature Dream Team, Frontline Ballers, ESPN and Police B.

Veterans, Harmony Ballers A, Zeelugt and Facebook are in Group E with Cayenne Massive, Gas Team Hustlers and Brothers United in Group F.

Zeelugt Warriors, Admiral United, defending champions Pouderoyen Showstoppers and Pouderoyen Rising Stars are down in Group G with Group H featuring Goldgetters, Parfaite Hardball, Harmony Warriors and Police A.

The second-, third- and fourth-placed teams will receive $200 000, $100 000 and $50 000 respectively with a plate tournament also featuring a winning purse of $60 000.

The tournament will be launched tomorrow and apart from January 26, the other playing dates are January 31, February 2, 7, 9, 13. The final is set for February 17.
