TWO men who were earlier this week arrested by police in Festival City, South Ruimveldt with an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, were on Friday remanded to prison by City Magistrate Fabayo Azore on two firearm-related charges.

Damion Favorite, 31, and Carl Lockhart, 29, are jointly charged with having a .38 Glock pistol in their possession on January 17 at Festival City, without being licensed firearm holders. It is further alleged that the men also had two live rounds of .38 ammunition.

The unrepresented duo denied both charges and were remanded to prison until January 26.
