CAMPTOWN FC and Pouderoyen FC are into the semi-final rounds of this year’s Turbo Knockout tournament following wins on Thursday evening at the Ministry of Education ground.

In the first game, it was a 1-1 scoreline which required penalties to determine Camptown FC the winner over Linden’s Silver Shattas.
Jurmain Samuels scored for the Linden side first and it was going well until Wayne Sharples equalised with five minutes to go.

Not even regulation time could set the two apart and it came down to penalties, the Georgetown side winning 7-6.
In the second game, an extra-time goal from Neil Lynton ensured that Pouderoyen made it through to the next round.

With both halves ending scoreless, it was the fear too that this game would require penalties but Lynton ensured that did not happen.
The semi-finals will take place next Friday with game one pitting Camptown against Pouderoyen and Police and Grove Hi-Tech battling it out in the other encounter.
