INDUSTRIAL Supplies and Services has confirmed its support towards Guyana’s Premier Softball Tournament “Prime Minister’s T20 Cup”, billed for October 27, 28 and 29.

The confirmation came last Thursday when the business entity’s Manager, Thelisha Case, presented a cheque to Treasurer of the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc., Russel Jadbeer, at the company’s 51 Robb and Albert Streets, Bourda, business location.
Prior to the presentation, Case said the company is pleased to be a part of such a prestigious event.

Jadbeer in reponse expressed gratitude to the business entity for their support, and at the same time indicated that cricket fans will witness a new dispensation of softball cricket.
The tournament will be played in two categories, Masters and All Stars, and entry is open to any number of teams interested to be a part of the tournament.

To date, a number of local teams have confirmed their participation. Additionally the confirmed participation of the Toronto Cup Masters Softball cricket tournament 2017 winners, SVC Mafia; along with New York Hustlers, the New York President’s X1 and the Tri-State Masters, will add some international flavour to the event.
A requirement for players wishing to play in the Masters’ Category is that they must be over the age of 45 years, but the All Stars format is open to all ages.

Teams registering for the Over-45 category must submit photo identification, preferably valid passports for every member of their 15-man squad.
The Over-45 category will make the champions $500 000 richer, and in the All Stars category the winning team will collect $600 000.

While, the entrance fee is free, the organising committee is urging the participating teams to have their teams properly uniformed with colour clothing, since the tournament will be played with while balls.

Registration forms can be uplifted from Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, Lot 13, Seaforth Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, or any member of the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc.
