ONE day after an E-Networks Store located in the lower flat of the Mon Repos Mall, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was robbed, another chain-store outlet located at Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara (WCD) suffered a similar fate.

Press Officer, Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan said about 11:45hrs Thursday, two identifiable males armed with handguns entered the E-Networks Inc. located at lot 15 Cornelia Ida, WCD and robbed the two cashiers and seven customers of their valuables, after which they fled the scene in a motorcar.

He said the bandits, before relieving the victims of their belongings, ordered them to lie on the floor and then bound their hands with plastic cuffs. No one was injured and no shots were fired.

“Ranks have processed the scene and are making diligent efforts to apprehend the suspects, whose modus operandi is likened to that of Wednesday’s robbery at the company’s chain-store at Mon Repos Mall, ECD,” Ramlakhan said.

On Wednesday, five persons were robbed of their cash and electronic gadgets at the Mon Repos branch. The bandits then fled in a waiting motorcar.
