THE Joshua House Children Centre on Tuesday benefited from a sports day hosted at the Demerara Cricket Club, Georgetown on Emancipation Day.
The event was organised by the Carl and Clarina Guilliams Foundation. Events such as football, sprints and relay races were hosted as children were allowed to play and enjoy themselves. They were all treated to meals and first-, second- and third-place winners all received trophies.
The foundation will also have its third annual open air garden party and fund-raiser on August 27, 2017 in Brooklyn, New York.
The event will attract motivational speaker Dr Julia Melchor and Evangelist Donna Sandy along with president of the foundation Dr Roy Hastick Sr.
