Local marksmen continue to impress ahead of WIFS Championship

LOCAL marksmen continue to show encouraging progress ahead of the Guyana National Rifle Association’s (GNRA) 150th Anniversary and the West Indies Fullbore Shooting (WIFS) Championships set for the Timehri Rifle Ranges.
Last Sunday, Lennox Braithwaite dropped just two points each at the 600- and 1000-yard ranges in wrapping up the latest GNRA record shoot at the Timehri Ranges on another rainy and overcast day for rifle-shooting

Braithwaite topped his peers at the 300 and 1000 yards ranges which included a possible at 300, while Sherwin Felicien won the 600-yard range, shooting a possible.
Braithwaite recorded an overall score of 118 points and 14Vs. Felicien was next overall with 116 points and 8Vs including his possible of 35. 4v at 600 yards.
The winner of the last recorded shoot, Dylan Fields was third with 115 points which included 12Vs.
Fullbore captain Mahendra Persaud did not participate due to a minor injury to his hand.
