LILOUTIE Prasad appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, charged with forging her dead husband’s Will and uttering it to the Deeds Registry.

Prasad, 49, of DaSilva Street, Kitty, pleaded not guilty to the fraud charge, which alleged that on December 11, 2015, at Charlotte Street, Georgetown with intent to defraud, she uttered the forged Will of Sase Narine Ram-Saywack to the Deeds Registry.
Police Prosecutor, Shawn Gonsalves said the woman was in a common-law relationship with Ram-Saywack, who is now deceased and who was the owner of a property located at DaSilva Street, Kitty.
However, the man has a son, who reported to the police that the woman had in her possession the will and testament of his father. The court heard that the father had reportedly left the property for his son but the woman changed the documents in favour of herself.
The Magistrate released Liloutie on $200,000 bail after the prosecution did not object to bail. The matter is adjourned until June 30, 2017 for statements.
