Orelien turns hero in Panama win over Honduras

ANGEL Orelien scored two goals as time elapsed to give host Panama a 4-2 win over Honduras in the 2017 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship opener for each on Friday at the Estadio Maracana.
With the result, the Panamanians took over first place in Group A on goal difference over Curacao, which beat Haiti, 1-0, earlier in the evening.

With the match tied at 2-2 in the 87th minute, Orelien converted a penalty kick to give Panama the lead and then he added an insurance tally two minutes later.
Honduras took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute, when Luis Enrique Palma fired a right-footed free kick off the outstretched hands of goalkeeper Jorginho Frias and into the back of the net.
Eduardo Guerrero demonstrated fine finishing ability to strike twice within three minutes, netting in the 21st and 24th minutes to put Panama ahead, 2-1.

Carlos Mejia leveled at 2-2 from the penalty spot four minutes into the second half for the Catrachos.
Panama returns to action on Monday against Haiti, while Honduras will look to bounce back against Curacao.
