FIRECRACKERS are expected today when the Circuit racing season of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) opens at the South Dakota Circuit.
At the Group Four level, battle lines have been drawn and all friendships and family ties have been temporarily severed as a fierce battle is expected between the father and son duo of Kevin and Kristian Jeffrey.

Their battle is expected to take center stage as Kevin seeks revenge for the defeat he suffered at the last outing at the south Dakota circuit last year when Kristian ran untouched,with both men at the helm of their Mitsubishi Evolutions
However, this time around there are several spoilers in the mix, one being Rupie Shewjattan who has expressed his readiness for the event.

Following several sessions, Shewjattan, also at the helm of a Mitsubishi Evolution,has also indicated his intention to give the Jeffreys more than they bargained for come race day.
The addition of Andrew King in the mix is sure to thrill fans as well,as the hometown hero returns after a prolonged period on the sidelines.

At the group three end of things, Stephan Jeffrey returns in his Honda Civic to take the fight to Danny Persaud with his Mazda Miata and the rest of the group three line up.
The inclusion as well of Vishok Persaud, Shan Seejattan and Motilall Deodass in that group also means a battle royale from start to finish in the 10 lap affair.
Meanwhile,Group Two will not be short of action as the defending champion Shan Seejattan will be back to defend his turf against Andre Danraj, Chet Singh and others.
The street and sport tuner competitions are also expected to feature on the day which begins with Time Trials at 08:00.
