Surinamese confirmed for ‘reaction’ Drags

SURINAME has been confirmed as being a part of the season opening Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) Reaction Drag race meet, billed for March 19th at the South Dakota Circuit.
Chronicle Sport has been reliably informed that the Surinamese have confirmed their participation,with final details about the team’s composition to be confirmed in the coming week.

This is seen as a major boost for the meet with a host of unfinished business expected to be dealt with come March 19.
Several Surinamese competitors who were here for the last instalment had felt as though they still had points to prove, and should those confirm their readiness, then the local crew must be prepared to face their rivals.

Surely, the locals are aware of this and have been preparing their cars with Guyana’s challenge expected to be led by Team Mohammed’s Enterprise GTR Twins.
Clocking a fastest-time of 8.4 seconds over the strip, the Surinamese are wary of the threat that the car and its driver poses and surely will have a game plan.
The ‘beast’,along with the pair of Toyota Supras owned by Randel Daby and Annand Ramchand,are expected to take the fight to the Surinamese,along with an assortment of modified machines, including the two Mazda Rx7 of Sanjay Persaud and Peter Daby,as well as the Toyota Caldina of Shawn Persaud.

Add that to the host of Toyota Starlets and Alteezas and fans are surely in for a tightly squeezed day of activities.
Free runs for the event start at 09:00hrs with Qualifying set for an hour after and Knockout set for 11:00am. Admission is $1000 for Adults and Kids Under- 12 are being charged $500.
