Skeletal remains of pensioner found

The skeletal remains of a pensioner were discovered at his home in Ikuraka Creek, Essequibo Coast, after a visit from a relative on Monday.
Dead is Robertson Abraham, 74, of Iturbisi, Ikuraka Creek, Essequibo Coast. Commander of “G” Division, Superintendent Khali Pareshram, said the body was discovered at 10:00hrs on Monday by Daphne Paton called “Auntie Dup, 58, who is a relative of the deceased. She is a housewife of Red village, Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast.

She had related to police that she last saw the pensioner on the 19th, December, 2016. A police source told this newspaper that the pensioner lived alone for several years and would usually cross the creek only to collect his pension since he has a small farm and a camp where he resides. There is no other person living in close proximity. The police source added that the pensioner was reportedly suffering from stomach pains and high blood pressure which was confirm by health workers.
