A 35-YEAR-OLD South African pilot was on Monday granted $75,000 bail by City Magistrate Fabayo Azore after being charged for overstaying his time in Guyana by over a year. Daniel Fredrick Krugur denied the charge which alleged that between December 21, 2015 and January 7, 2017 at Georgetown, he failed to comply with the conditions of a permit to stay in Guyana, which stated that he was permitted to stay in the country from December 07, 2015 to December 20, 2015.
Krugur’s lawyer told the court that the foreign national was living in the Port Kaituma area with his reputed wife, who is a Guyanese.
The Magistrate released Krugur on $75,000 and adjourned the matter until January 30. He also has to report to the Brickdam Police Station weekly.
