APPROXIMATELY 200 pupils and students,along with their teachers,participated in the Guyana Rugby Football Union’s end of year Tag Rugby Festival.
With brilliant sunshine, the pupils from the Primary level were introduced to the game of rugby while students at the secondary level exercised their knowledge of the game through competition.
Competing in the boys under 14 categories were Covent Garden Secondary, North Georgetown Secondary, Tucville Secondary, St. Georges Secondary, Dolphin Secondary and Campbeville Secondary.
North Georgetown Secondary claimed victory over Tucville Secondary in an exciting final. St. John’s College defeated North Ruimveldt Multilateral Secondary in the under 16 category,bringing the day’s activities in the National Park to an end.
