The mining community of Ekereku Top in the Cuyuni/Mazaruni was rocked by an apparent murder/suicide on Sunday night, November 13.
While details are sketchy, reports are that around 22:00hrs on Sunday night, a husband and his wife were involved in a domestic dispute during which the woman was fatally wounded. The man reportedly took his own life soon after.
Police are investigating the incident and the Guyana Chronicle will provide more information as it becomes available.
