Pacer Roach in squad for second tour match against India

DISCARDED West Indies pacer Kemar Roach gets a shot at forcing his way back into the West Indies squad, as he has been named in a President’s XI squad to play India in a three-day tour match starting tomorrow at Warner Park in St Kitts.The 28-year-old Roach, who has played 37 Tests in which he has claimed 122 wickets at 30.23 runs apiece, headlines seven changes to the side that played the two-day tour match which ended Sunday at the same venue.
Roach, who last played a Test for the West Indies against Australia in January, going for 29 runs in the four overs he bowled, comes into the squad along with John Campbell, Rahkeem Cornwall, Jahmar Hamilton, Montcin Hodge, Chemar Holder and Gudakesh Motie.
Shai Hope, who scored a century in the match that ended Sunday, has retained his place in the President’s XI.
