HEAVY overnight and continuous rain yesterday washed out play in all three third-round games in the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Women’s Super50 tournament, forcing a no-result in the contests between Guyana and Barbados at Enmore, Leeward Islands and Trinidad & Tobago at Enterprise and Jamaica and Windward Islands at Everest.The third round will be played tomorrow with Guyana taking on the Leeward Islands at Everest, Barbados opposing Windward Islands at Enterprise and Jamaica facing Trinidad and Tobago at Enmore.
Each team will play the other once in a round-robin competition, featuring five rounds of 50 overs-a-side matches – with the two teams to accumulate the most points qualifying for the Final to determine the winners on Sunday, July 17, at Everest ground.
The T20 tournament follows four days later with three matches being contested each match-day at the Guyana National Stadium before a final round of playoffs for positions one to six, on Monday, July 25.
