POLICE ranks in ‘E’ Division, acting on a tip-off, went to a West Watooka Hilltop, Linden residence and conducted a search.During the search, a .38 snub-nosed revolver and five rounds of 9mm ammunition were found, along with four grams of what is believed to be Cannabis Sativa.

According to the police, the search was done at about 08:00hrs yesterday, a male occupant was arrested, and charges are to be laid shortly.

Acting on another ‘tip-off’ soon after, the said team of officers went further up the West Watooka Hilltop and found a one-acre plot of land cultivated with Cannabis Sativa plants measuring 1-7 feet, along with 10×12 tarpaulin tent.

Both plants and tent were destroyed. No one was arrested.
