Several wanted for murder

THE POLICE on Monday issued wanted bulletins for several men in relation to allegations of murder and escaping from lawful custody.

The police are seeking to question Leon De Younge in relation to the murder of Titus Sutton, which occurred on November 08, 2013 at Baracara, Canje Creek, East Berbice.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Leon De Younge is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 333-2485, 333-2191, 333-2151, 225-6411, 225-2227, 911, or the nearest police station. All information will be treated with strict confidence, the police have said.

Sutton, a resident of Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara, was shot once to his chest while Sherwin McAlmont was seriously wounded to his right thigh after De Younge had allegedly opened fire on them during a confrontation at Baracara in November 2013.

A police press release issued back then had said that Sutton was involved in an argument with another man when he was allegedly shot to his chest with a shotgun.

Rickford La Fleur, known as Rickford Orlando, 41, is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the murder of Sebastian Clayto and Cleveland Hetymer.

La Fleur’s last known addresses are listed as Vryheid’s Lust, ECD, and Smithfield, New Amsterdam, Berbice.

Additionally, 27-year-old Lennox Patterson and Ravindra Samaroo are wanted by the police for escaping from lawful custody at the New Amsterdam Prison on August 12, 2015.

Stafrei Hopkinson-Alexander is also wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the alleged discharge of a loaded firearm and the murder of Shivon Gordon. Alexander, 30, hails from Laing Avenue, Georgetown.
