Windies agree to Pakistan day-night Test

THE West Indies are set to play a historical day-night Test against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates later this year. The game will be the part of a series that will include two Tests, five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in October.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had hoped to initially convince its West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) counterparts to play a part of the series on Pakistan soil.
Citing security concerns, however, the WICB declined the offer, but according to reports have agreed to play one of the two scheduled matches as a day-night Test. The game will be the first for either team in the newly introduced format.
“I haven’t seen their letter as yet, but yes. Apparently, they have said yes to playing one day and night test with the pink ball in the UAE,” said Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan.
Pakistan will play another day-night Test in December against Australia.(Sportsmax.com)
