DCB/RSI Brokers Over-40 20/20 Competition … Mavericks, Lions lead points standings going into second round

WEST Demerara Mavericks and Lower East Bank Lions are leading the points standings going into the second round of the DCB/RSI Brokers Over40 20/20 competition which goes down today at venues across the County of Demerara.

Mavericks and Lions secured seven points each in round one. Mavericks got four points for their victory, two bonus points for winning by seven wickets and one bonus point for reaching the target in less than 12 overs. Lions got four for winning, one bonus for winning by more than 50 runs and two bonuses for scoring over 175.
Georgetown Bears and Upper East Coast Tigers are second on the points table on six points each. Bears were awarded four points for their victory and two bonus points for scoring over 175 while Tigers got four points for their victory and two bonuses for winning by eight wickets.
West Coast Demerara Seals were the only losing team to win a bonus point (for scoring more than 150 runs).
In today’s action, Upper East Bank Colts will clash with Georgetown Buffaloes at Everest ground, Upper East Coast Tigers will meet West Coast Demerara Seals at Wales ground, Georgetown Bears will take on Lower East Coast Bulls at Lusignan ground, and Lower East Bank Lions will square off with West Demerara Mavericks at DCC ground.
