A high level team of business consultants of former Canadian International footballer, Guyanese born Alex Bunbury is expected in the country today.The Canadian Soccer Association’s Hall of Famer who returned to the land of his birth a week ago has so far held clinics for youths in his home village Plaisance as well as in Berbice and Georgetown.
This morning Bunbury will be in the mining town of Linden to conduct another youth clinic while in the afternoon he is expected to meet with the Canadian High Commissioner to Guyana, Pierre Giroux and the Minister of Telecommunications and Tourism , Cathy Hughes.
Bunbury who has a dream concept to establish the Alex Bunbury Sports and Academics Academy (ABSAA) here in Guyana will, today, be joined in his native homeland by five experienced Business Consultants who are part of ABSAA’s Team seeking to realize the vision.
They are expected to meet with top Government Officials, including President David Granger and other relevant stakeholders to detail the plan and way forward for establishing a ‘state of the art’ Sports and Academics Academy.
The top five Architectural/Financial Consultants who are partnering with ABSAA are considered heavyweights in the USA, having successfully completed similar related projects there. Among some of the prized works they have designed and managed the construction of are; US SSA Sports Complex, Foley Athletic Centre, Champions Gate Sports Complex, Core Golf Academy and Anderson Rugby Complex to name a few.
