The Riddim Squad side looked the better team on the night with more cohesive plays and were rewarded when Amos Ramsay successfully converted his team’s chance and gave the East Bank side the lead in the 49th minute.
More and more attacks continued from the Riddim Squad side with their opponents featuring in a few runs of their own that failed to materialise in the final third.
It took a penalty to bring the scores level again after a Western player was brought down in the box.
Randolph Wagner, the tournament’s eventual leading goal-scorer (seven goals) successfully converted the penalty in the 72nd minute, which triggered the Western supporters in attendance.
Their cheers however were short-lived as the Riddim Squad side quickly regained the lead through Delon John in the 80th minute.
Coming down the left wing, John, with all the space he needed, pulled of a finesse finish through a curling chip which swung sweetly into the region of the last post and right between the uprights, setting the Stadium afire with noise from the Riddim Squad- based side.
With the win, the East Bank- based side are now $2M richer and have etched their names in the history books as winners of the tournament, while Western will go home with $1 M.
Senior Riddim squad player and stand-in captain Sceyon Hope, contended that his win was due to a better team performance, adding that the support of fans spurred his team to the win.

Jamal Butts’s double in the 52nd and 78th seemed to sink the Santos side even further before a Dwayne McLennon double (84th and 87th) saw some signs of life from the Georgetown-based side.
The Santos side got $250,000 for their efforts in the tournament, which saw a large turnout of fans.
